01 — About Caether
Caether AI, Inc. ("Caether", "our", "us" or "we") is a US-based company building frontier AI models and infrastructure designed for reasoning, speed, and understanding the real world. We are guided by our mission to accelerate human scientific discovery and to extend what humanity can know and do.
As part of our mission, we have developed Caether-1 — a frontier reasoning model — along with the Caether API, Agent SDK, and Voice API. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use our websites and applications (including caether.ai) and other Caether services (our "Service").
This Privacy Policy does not apply to data that we process on behalf of customers of our business offerings, such as the Caether API, or to any employment-related personal information processed in consideration of employment with Caether.
For individuals in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (collectively, "Europe"), please see Caether's Europe Privacy Policy Addendum for additional information.
02 — Personal information we collect
We ask that you do NOT include sensitive personal information in your prompts and inputs into our Service; however, we cannot control what you provide to us. Below is a breakdown of each data type we may collect.
We do not aim to collect sensitive personal information (e.g., racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, health, biometric data, criminal background) and ask that you do not provide us with any such information.
For users who connect Google Apps via Google OAuth: Caether shall not use any Google Apps content for internal AI or training purposes.
03 — How we may use personal information
We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide, analyze, and maintain our Service — To respond to your inputs, process payments, and keep the Service running.
- To provide support and assistance — To troubleshoot problems and provide customer support.
- To develop and improve our Service and conduct research — To develop new features, train our models, identify usage trends, and expand our business activities.
- To communicate with you — To send information about our Service, updates, or legally required notices.
- To ensure security and integrity — To protect our Services and detect fraud, unauthorized use, and other misuse.
- For legal purposes — To comply with our legal obligations and protect the rights of our users and Caether.
We may aggregate, pseudoanonymize, or de-identify your information so that it no longer identifies you, and use this for the purposes described above.
04 — How we may disclose personal information
- To contracted service providers — Hosting, cloud, analytics, content delivery, support, payment, and other technology services.
- In connection with business transfers — Mergers, acquisitions, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
- For legal purposes — To comply with laws, protect rights and property, defend against legal liability, or protect personal safety.
- To related companies — Where necessary to fulfill your requests or for operational purposes.
- To third-parties you interact with — Governed by that third-party's terms and policies.
05 — Retention of personal information
We retain your personal information where we have an ongoing legitimate business need. We may retain your information for legal reasons after our contractual relationship ends. Specific retention periods depend on the nature of the information and why it was collected.
We may retain your data when: we have a legal obligation to do so; to address and resolve requests and complaints; to protect the safety, security, and integrity of our business; or for litigation, regulatory, or other legal matters.
If you choose to delete your conversations or account, we will delete the relevant data within 30 days unless retention is required for legal, compliance, or safety purposes.
06 — Security of personal information
Caether implements commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no security measure or method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are solely responsible for protecting your login credentials, limiting access to your devices, and signing out of accounts after your sessions.

07 — Links to other websites
Our Service may contain links to external websites or platforms that are not operated by us. Third-party websites and services have their own terms and conditions and privacy policies, and you should read these carefully before submitting any personal information to them.
08 — Children under the age of 13
Our Service is not directed at children or minors under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from them. If you are under the age of 13, please do not attempt to register for or otherwise use our Service.

09 — Privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you are located and subject to applicable legal exceptions, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal information.
You may have the right to:
- Request access to, correction of, update of, or deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent where we process your information based on consent
- Submit privacy requests through an Authorized Agent
- Be free from discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
- Appeal a decision we make about your rights request

Note: we cannot guarantee the factual accuracy of Output from our models. If Output contains factually inaccurate personal information relating to you, you may submit a correction request.
Do Not Track: Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our privacy practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.
10 — Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will publish an updated version and effective date on this page. If you use the Service after any changes have been posted, all changes will apply to your use of the Service.
